Zanesville Joint & Clutch has served our area for generations. Public business records list the shop as established in 1978, and that long-standing presence matches what so many local drivers and work crews already know. This is a specialty shop with deep experience and a reputation built over time.
For more than 40 years, the Hartman family helped build that reputation by serving the community with dependable workmanship and straightforward service. A lot of customers didn’t just come once. They came back, and they sent friends and family, because they trusted the people behind the counter and the work leaving the shop.
Today, that same commitment continues under local ownership, with a focus on great service, quality parts, and doing right by the customer.

Proudly under new local ownership (July 2025)
In July 2025, Zanesville Joint & Clutch entered a new chapter when the Matthews family of Adamsville, Ohio became the new owners. We’re honored to carry forward the tradition established here and continue serving Muskingum County with the same commitment to integrity, quality, and customer care.
During this transition, experienced hands have remained involved in the shop, continuing to pass along knowledge and training in the services customers rely on. This includes driveshafts, PTOs, parts, exhaust, flywheels, and clutches. We believe that kind of knowledge transfer matters. It protects the legacy and the customer.
